Hey friends!

Sad news! I just wanted to let you know there won’t be a new house project on the blog this month. I do have the “bones” built, but getting past that? Oops!

It’s probably because I’ve been following a couple of other life threads lately - and letting myself get swept away and distracted (in a good way)! Like I recently went on a trip to Chicago, and I’m still dreaming about how the sunlight bounced off of the buildings by the river.

Pictures can’t do it justice (so please add the river walk to the list of things to experience yourself) but this one holds a memory for me 💛

I also was treated to a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Chicago home and Studio, and my brain exploded and now I want to do crazy millwork and chartruse things. There’s nothing like actually be surrounded by history and fantastic interiors!

This is the exterior. I don’t know how much I am allowed to show, so do some research as to what’s inside!! It’s really cool!!

And after that, I broke my DNF streak with a crochet blanket project, and actually finished something I’ve been working on lately!

I don’t have a good picture of it all laid out yet, so here is a good progress pic!

I’m super happy to be surrounded by people who love me and support me to make this happen. It lets me give myself grace, and boosts my confidence enough to let me know I will figure everything out with enough time and brain power!!

But don’t worry, I’m not abandoning this interiors project entirely—I have a feeling I’ll be back with something in September. Maybe House 33, maybe some experimental rooms instead of houses… I will be the first to admit I like to jump in with both feet and figure it out in the water! Until then, I’m giving myself a little space to explore. And maybe jump in actual water!! It’s still summer, after all!
